Early in 2015, I began an experiment in "Time Travel", posting a set of "70th anniversary of WW2 end" theme Original Styrene Sheets and promising to pursue putting more "packages" together as time/mood struck me.

Now satisfied there is some larger purpose to this than indulging this Editor's fancy, I am trying out parking the sets as I move them from home page of Archive, to this page, until they eventually dissolve into collections of their respective archive years within this website or return to digital oblivion, whatever seems the best idea.

NOW FOR SOME EXPERIMENTS

 IN TIME TRAVEL

During 2014, I had a series called " The WayBack Machine " going on within TAMS, utilizing material from the original club archives, which seemed to be well received. That series mostly had 1970s and 1980s vintage items, as those archives ceased to be maintained after 1985.

For now, in celebration of 70th anniversary of ending World War 2 & over 50 years of the South Bay Chapter of Plastic Modelers, here I am putting up a few select full newsletters from my own collection, in this same spirit. Selected with specific theme, in they had articles by membership that resonate with me even today, plus WW2 specific.

While 1942 Doolittle Raid may be well enough known, the subject of group builds, museum support, and the like aren't always so well covered in depth. In 2003, a particular resonance on that here came.

Three examples will be given here within the selected issues. Along with an excellent (large in a newsletter sense) article on service of Mexico's Air Forces in WW2. This one will likely enlighten readers of it today as  it did us in 2003, in fourth part of this experiment. Further "time travels" will be constructed as the Editor finds time and incentive to do this.

CURRENTLY, BELOW ARE ALL 2016 & then, 2017 TIME TRAVELS, in order

NOTE THE 2017 TIME TRAVELS After MAY 2017 will be found in Archive 2
